American Heart Association Courses
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Skills of defibrillation, airway management, rhythm recognition, use of ACLS algorithms, IV access, use of medications, cardioversion, transcutaneous pacing, CPR, and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).
  • Emergency situations involving Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and Stroke.
  • Effective resuscitation team dynamics are emphasized.
  • Audience: physicians, nurses, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, dentists and other professionals who may need to respond to cardiovascular emergencies.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Skills of CPR for victims of all ages (including 2- rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask).
  • Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) with CPR.
  • Relief of choking.
  • Audience: EMS personnel, physician assistants, physicians, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and others.
Heartsaver CPR
  • Skills of Adult/Child CPR and Adult/Child Choking.
  • Optional skills of Infant CPR and choking, Adult/Child CPR with mask, Infant CPR with mask.
  • Audience: employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities. Also designed for employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver AED
  • Skills of Adult/Child CPR with mask, Adult/Child Choking, Adult/Child AED
  • Optional skills of Infant CPR and choking and Infant CPR with mask.
  • Audience: employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities. Also designed for employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to cardiac emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver First Aid
  • Skills of Adult first aid (general principles, medical emergencies and injury emergencies)
  • Optional skills of Environmental Emergencies.
  • Audience: employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities. Also designed for employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.
Heartsaver First Aid With CPR & AED
  • Combines skills from Heartsaver AED and Hearsaver First Aid courses listed above.
  • Optional skills of Infant CPR with mask and Environmental Emergencies.
  • Audience: employee training at companies, corporations, businesses or other entities. Also designed for employees and/or designated first responders who have a duty to respond to first aid emergencies because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

All courses successfully passed will grant the student an Amertican Heart Association course completion card.
